Sorry it's been a while since my last post.
Three things/person are/is to blame. Work with me on this.
I've missed reading my fave knitty types blogs. OLPP, PK, Bezzie and Turtlegirl. There are others but I tend to lurk a lot (I sound like a Frankie Howard character).
I took some pics of wool and the sticks that my favourite knitty peeps use, sadly not here.
This is just to say that as soon as I get over my "Oblivion" obsession I'll try and post some good stuff of me in love, with the woman who ruined it for every other woman on this ball of mud and her two great lads. Two fantastic peeps who I would like as friends simply because we all like Spongebob, Ben Ten and toons in general. But also two lads who want to call me dad.
Scared, panicked, secretly delighted, chilled to my core, in need of a really big nappy and finally flattered beyond belief that someone other than their mum would choose me.
But to be called "Dad"?
What sort of Dad would I be? Good deity's. Do I even want to be a "Dad"? For that matter would I be a fit (part time) parent, while they're at school learning good stuff, I fill my days with surfing the net and killing goblins. That being said they did give me a lesson on my Wii after never using one before, so they're clever (maybe too clever).
I've never wanted offspring and I still don't. I have my reasons. But if these two 9 year olds want someone to help them with their homework, well I'll take that man's punishment.
So now you know what my absence this time has been about. Two lads who LOVE football (soccer), collecting football cards and leaving their stuff everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE!
and who have trouble with their SATS just like we all did.
Can I step up to the crease and do what needs to be done?
maybe, we'll see.
My only concern is when I go to meet J+B's mum.
As you know I don't drive, so it's the bus for me.
Such a cruel twist of fate means I will now have to get off earlier or later rather than at the stop I need to get off at.
You want to know why this should be?
I get the 410 from my stop and I have to ask the driver/conductor to "take me to the Village".
That is just too GAY for words. Maybe a jacket with sequins will stop me from saying those words. I get on all spangley and hand him the £2:80 and he just winks knowingly and I alight at the correct stop, change into something a bit more hetro and go and meet T.
It's an option.
Maybe I'll test it tomorrow.
Watch Tin Man.

Me? A Dad? After all this time?...

I think now would be the perfect time to be a dad. You're like being called from the sidelines to finish up the game. No dealing with colicky babies, diapers, and terrible twos.
You should talk to Jim about being a Dad to older kids. Hey! Webcam chat! But with sound. But also, I don't think men sit around talking about being dads. So never mind. You're awesome, the boys can tell.
I've been wondering about you! Do you have Mario Kart on the Wii?
Dude, you'd be a killer dad...hang on...I mean killer as in cool, not killer as in psycho.
If these kids want to learn the safe way to set fire to something who better to guide them? Or how to cook red hot chilli and the fact that your a sci fi obsessed, game freak will only make you even more appealing. What boy doesn't want a Dad who can actually challenge them at Wii tennis? You have my every confidence.
I did love the comment about them perhaps being "too" clever. I can just imagine your eyes narrowing and glancing from side to side in a suspicous manner....maybe they are plotting right now!...quick look behind you for nets, spares or traps....okay, all clear.
Sounds like life is going swimmingly dear fellow, but when oh when will we see you on the South Coast again?

PS, and don't act like you don't already own a sparkly, sequined jacket you big liar lol.
I have seen his secret jacket....it's in his wardrobe......it is burgundy......it is evil!!!!
