Right, where was I?

I had said that I had just got back from Wales, north Wales in general and Prestatyn in particular.

It's been a mad and busy last couple of weeks for me and it's all been T's fault. Still finding this all very strange but in the best possible way, you know, having a life at last instead of just existing.

She takes me to all the best places (remember that) and gives me all the best things to eat.

I've even lost some weight. I put it down to all this walking in mud, fresh country air (sometimes a bit too rural for my taste) and the infrequent bouts of mind melting terror occasioned by large drops. Again thanks to T.

We stayed in the caravan that T's mum and dad own. This time we where prepaired for the weather.

We took a fan heater.

T took me to one of her favourite places, she waxed elegant about the lovely views.

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you...

As you can see the weather was brilliant at the top and the temperature was a positively tropical 3 degrees C. But it got a bit better during the course of the day, see...

And here is the cafe at the top

There are some swings and climbing frames for kids to play on and that's as far as the free stuff goes, just so long as you don't count the visitors centre and the walk to the top.

Me walk?! Do me a favour.

This is how I got to the top

Now you see the chap in the background? You see his elbow sticking out of the open window?

Are you sure?

Well actually it's not his elbow it's the local postman clinging on to the very back of the tram getting a free lift, enterprising fellow that he is.

Here are some things we saw in the cafe. The first specimen is some ugly wooden monstrosity of a boxer. It's like an African "woodie" only with less taste.

And to paraphrase Han Solo, "This is no cave"

Meanwhile at the visitors center we have a nice bronze of a ram

and a pretty garden

and on the inside we have the sharp end of a lighthouse, looks amazing close up.

This is a picture of the chairlift system that never works, boo!

So we had some tea and biscuits, the lads had a play around for a while and I acted as a wind break for T.

Then it was in to the wilds and a walk around the Orme, to see some spectacular veiws

Nice isn't it.

These next two pictures fail utterly in getting across to you just how small the track I was standing on was and the truly large drop that the pictures are of

And now for a close up of some interesting stuff that wasn't soooo far down that it made the soles of my feet twitch and that small voice that we all have in our head shout "JUMP!" all the time.

Right I've faffed around with this entry for long enough! It's time to post.

All I'm going to say is that the remaining phots are in no particular order and I deleted all the video I took as it would have taken too long. Sorry this post is rubbish, I'll try harder.

But first here is a pic for all my knitty chums, it was taken at a car boot sale and I just call the photo "Yarn Pron"

Pure filth!

And now for the rest of the pics...

PS

We've just got back from another trip to the Orme, bloody hell it was windy up there.

Dude,

Immense bloggage. Loads of nice pictures, and reading from you on a Monday morning makes getting up for work seem totally worth it.

One or two comments on the pics. The pic of the lighthouse on the hill reminds me of Guesthouse Paradiso for some reason, I think its the swings on the hill side...I'm just waiting for Eddie to to shout out "righty dokey skip".

And the view of the down the Hill/Street into the village makes me think Royston Vasey...."are you local"?

The castle looks really cool, I love ruins and real history, buildings that are hundreds of years old are always impressive for how they have stood up for so long...I suspect we wont be looking at Barrat homes in 300 years time.

Nice to read from you again fella.

Hey, I live near there! The cable cars would have been running if some person hadn't thrown themselves of it a year or so ago!! Normally run ok in the summer though, when you will definitely get some wonderful views, glorious sunsets and a massive windfarm off the North Wales Coast.

Am new to this, can you tell??
