Has your heart grown fonder?

It's been a long while since I last posted, but there's a very good reason, honestly.

It seems like I've lived more in the last few months than I have in the last few years. I have T, B and J to thank for this.
We've been places and done stuff, sometimes with the lads and sometimes without them (when we go without them then the hard working grandma and grandpa take over).
I've taken hundreds of pictures and hours of video, it's all got too much to make a witty and interesting blog entry/entries.

So I'm gonna cheat.

I uploaded all the pics and video that doesn't have the lads in to Photobucket so here are the links to some pics that are some of the reason I've been absent.

But before I go any further can I just say that the lads football (soccer) team premièred their new strip on Saturday (bright orange with white trimming) and beat all the other teams, about 40 of them we think.
Also J got "scouted" for another real football team. He first got scouted for Tranmere Rovers and now trains with their youth side but this Saturday gone, he got "scouted" by Blackburn. True they're not Liverpool FC or Manchester united but then again he is only 9.

Anyhoo, this is just some of what we've been up to....

Liverpool museum.

Birkenhead tram museum.

The Lake District (well a bit of it anyway).

There was a whole heap of other stuff we did but we have to have some secrets don't we.

Hope to blog you all soon.

Ed, Same as K, the MOD IGS system tells me that i cannot view your photos as they "may contain hate/sex/violence" (but not nuts!) Since it says this every time i try to buy a rugby shirt i think it could be telling porkies. Nice to have you back dude, c u in August

Don't worry K & N - over at BERR we don't even have the software to recognise that it might have any appropriate content, let alone view it ...

The tram museum looks quite fun. When friends were up the other week we did the touristy thing around Liverpool and did St George's Hall (free and stunning, with nice gory cells to keep youngsters happy), the cathedrals (also free) as well as the Williamson Tunnels (not quite so free) - a bit of an oddity and possibly worth looking at if you get stuck for something to do (plus lunch at the Everyman is cheap, good quality and has lots of veggie options ...)

Glad to see you having fun - just think what you'll be able to do with a whole 6 weeks of summer to look forward to once the schools break up ... But it's almost like you being back at sea, it's so quiet here!

Good Evening Squire,

Nice to have you back. The pics are fantastic, have you got another new camera? The quality on the Lakes shots are great (although a healthy dose of strong Natural light does always help). Where in the Lakes was that?

Also, Blackburn are a top team, I have a lot of respect for 'Burn, a great team with a solid work ethic. And Tranmere have alot of respect in the footballing community too (although probably not from their local rivals).

Glad to see your living life and not just existing since leaving the Navy.

And I too look forward to seeing you in August, take it easy Fella.
