I recently bought a new pair of binoculars (20*50's) and a bracket to attach said bins to a tripod. Well I'd just left OLPP's blog and was working my way thru' PK's when I needed to go to the recycler (got to put the empty and crushed cider tins in their new home) I happened to look to the south and there was Jupiter just above the house at the end of the street. Well I have to see it thru' the new bins.
Yes there is a discreet disc to see. However the image is shaking all over the place ( it is 4.437 AU's away), ah ha, tripod.
Rig bins to tripod, bloody hell!
Here is what I saw...
Venus and Saturn where visible earlier, but thanks to trees and houses they may as well be on the other side of the galaxy. It's moon rise in a min or two so I'll have to have a look. I photographed Jupiter and after I've processed the images I'll let you know how crap they are.

You're totally a peeping tom! You perv!
And by the way. You live in England, right? So how in the WORLD could you NOT know where you'd get pictures of the riders whizzing past on their race bikes in the prologue of Le Tour de France!!! It was in London!! *sigh*
They're going through Canterbury tomorrow, is that close to you?

Thanks to anonymous for all those typed letters all put together in neat patterns. I'm sure the mean something to someone, just confused the crap out of me.
Peeping tom. Me? How dare you put a slur like that on my good character.
OLPP, why don't you ask Ed if he knows your mate Dave in Lie-Chester [sic]? Sorry OLPP, just 'pulling your leg mate'.
