What woes, I feel for you.
See, the problem is in the texting. You mention that you only text her to cancel the date, well of course it's going to sound like you're fobbing her off when you've got to squeeze your reason into a a few abbreviated words. Pick up the phone and call her to explain it to her properly, just like you did in your blog and I'm sure it will be fine. If it's not then she's being unreasonable and would probably make a difficult partner. You've just wounded her pride. And I bet valentines day is counting against you now too. Oh and send her something, or even better, make her something! Women like THINGS!
