Thanks giving...

... we don't have that over here in Blightyland.

But what would I give thanks for?
Family, friends, good food, strong drink, pretty girls, learning something new each day, science and tech'y, Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, clean(ish) air, my small mortgage, this months pension cheque, the fact that babies look like Winston Churchill, optics (both kinds), Japan (for my gadgets), living in a country where fresh water is on tap, BOOBIES!, Hydrogen and gravity fields, living now instead of the middle ages, being able to read, Terry Pratchett, Banksy, my Wii, the ratio of distance that gives us total eclipse's (quote from beeb website "
The Sun is, of course, much larger than the Moon. It is 400 times bigger in fact, but it is also 400 times further away. So when they coincide in the sky, the Moon exactly blocks out the Sun."), Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama, Gerry Anderson, the airsoft guns I got before the change in law, the fact that I don't speak German, slightly odd women the world over who knit and even tho' I don't they let me play in their games, the internet, a purple goatee, an English summer (except this year), Malta, the wheel, fire, de-cafe tea and coffee and finally, again BOOBIES!

Surely your thankful for the italians invention of the Pizza? Monty Python and Matt & Trey creators of South Park and Team America. You have to be thankful for the French for giving us someone to pick on at every opportunity. And you should be thankful for P!nk...ummmm, P!NK.

I agree with all your others too, and I didn't realise you were a fan of Banksy. That guy is SO cool. If you go to his site banksy.co.uk he is allowing free downloads of his artwork because he never wanted people to make money selling his art so he's trying to lower the value. Also, HMV are selling poster sized prints of some of his work....would be nice framed....I still love my one of Queen Victoria sitting on that ladies face.

Any way. Catch ya later Bill n Ted.

Ashley, is Ed being thankful for the Italian version of pizza, or the American version of pizza? Two different animals entirely. American pizza should not even be called pizza, but I have no suggestions.

Ed, you're truly a gem, and I'm glad to know you. In a manner of speaking.

Hi ash, I agree with your suggestions and I've already been to Banksy's web site, quite often in fact. I also have the queen vic picture as the desk top on the computer in the front room, a bright red and black print at 50" visible from the street, oops.

Hi OLPP, I'll take on any pizza, even one from domino's in Dubai. I got the worst case of food poisoning the doctor had ever seen from a domino's pizza in Dubai. I spent 3 whole days in a toilet cubical and had to have water handed in to me by kind people so that I wouldn't de-hydrate. one of the worst times in my life.

Hi Jo, I'm sort of "can't knit, wont knit".
I appreciate knitting in others but wouldn't want to do it myself.
