Ash I need help

Love my mac, even with its many, many faults.
Like when it sulks and the net doesn't work and the mac needs re-booting, that happens far too often.
The missing hash key.
The tetris block that does the office of the return key.
The almost invisible arrow keys.
And please tell me, what's the deal with the mouse KEY (singular)

Oh, and whatever acts as the light sensor needs deactivating, as my screen keeps going bright and dark, at times at a frequency that would induce a fit in an epileptic.

P.S. I'll turn the spell check on soon.

Hey fella,

right, I'll try and help out.

The hash key is found by pressing alt & 3 together. It became a secondary character not just to saze space on the key board but the symbol its self is being used in computer language less and less....unless your a css coder.

The tetris block return key has always been that on apple keybards for as long as I've known...I'll be honest I hadn't noticed that PC's had different ones.

The mini arrow keys? Well they are small to save space on the laptop, they are normal size on a normal keyboard.

Not sure what you mean about the mouse key....do you mean the click pad below the scroll pad (if you weren't using a mouse?) Well Macs have only ever had one button on the mouse and one click pad for laptops. If you need to 'right click' (such a PC term) you just do ctrl click (the ctrl key - bottom left or right) to bring up the extra menus. Its all part of the idea that your multi-tasking with keyboard short-cuts eg apple & S to save.

As for your internet connection....not sure about that. I'd contact your IP provider for advice...as your mac is so new it could be you need a newer modem to cope with the newer system (Dom had to get a new wireless router from orange - it was free - but they said there old standard modems weren't good enough).

And the light sensor that does the auto contrast is beyond me...I don't have a laptop so I don't have that happen. I imagine there is a setting for it but I'd have to search the net to find an answer....I'll let you know when I have a solution to that one.

And the spell check is unfortunately american, but it does learn. When it says color instead of teh correct spelling of colour...you can usually add our version to the dictionary so that it learns new words or Names that you use regularly.

But remember these aren't faults with the mac, its just you've spent so many years using the wrong computers that you think they are correct lol. Apple Macs rule. woo hoo.

If you go to apple.com and go to downloads there are new widgets and toys to download for your computer constantly being updated.

Take it easy fella.

If is possible add the CresceNet(www.provedorcrescenet.com) in your blogroll, I thank. Good bye friend.

only just seen this one dude, sorry its taken me a while to spot it. But no, viruses are virtually non existant for macs. You know all those annoying pop ups about spy wear, and things are try and auto install on your system? Well thats all irrelivant for Macs. You can surf with impunity.
