Hmmm .... it possibly is quite kinky. Not the terminology I learnt with many moons ago, and that looks suspiciously like twisted purl stitch to me ...

Take up crocheting instead. It's grows quicker than knitting! And you can make those fun multi-coloured bed spreads. :)
I could take up crocheting but I'd only make one thing Huge tea cossy style rasta hats. Hmmmmmm.
